As a doctor and nutritionist, I’ve always been passionate about helping people improve their health and wellness. Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand how effective lifestyle changes can prevent and manage chronic disease. And I’ve also seen how difficult it can be for people to make those changes independently.
Obesity and chronic diseases are rising worldwide, becoming a serious public health issue. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global prevalence of obesity has nearly tripled since 1975, with over 650 million adults and 124 million children now classified as obese. This trend is concerning because obesity is a significant risk factor for chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and certain types of cancer. In fact, chronic diseases are now the leading cause of death worldwide, with over 70% of deaths attributed to non-communicable diseases. Therefore, the rise of obesity and chronic diseases requires a multi-faceted approach, including changes in public policy, increased awareness and education, and individual lifestyle changes.
As a health professional, I have seen first-hand the impact that obesity and chronic diseases have on people’s lives. Witnessing the physical, emotional, and financial toll these conditions can take on individuals and their families motivated me to make a change. I wanted to do something that would empower people to take control of their health and improve their quality of life. That’s when I decided to create a range of journals and meal planners to help people on their wellness and health journey. By combining my medical knowledge and nutrition expertise with my passion for helping others, I hope to positively impact people’s lives and contribute to the global effort to combat obesity and chronic diseases.
It took months of planning, researching, and designing before I was ready to launch. I poured my heart and soul into creating beautiful and functional products that would help people make real progress towards their health goals.
